En Nu Stil.. (6+)

You can discover music in all the sounds around us—even in silence. Will you join us in the search?
A light switch, old newspapers, or a washed-up seashell. What sounds do they hold? Can they become music? And silence—does it even exist? What do you hear when you listen to silence? When does a sound become music?
En nu stil… is a journey of discovery into the small and special sounds that surround us— sounds that often go unnoticed in everyday life. Sounds that lie scattered, stuck to the wall, or tucked away in a forgotten corner. We perform a grand percussion concert filled with unusual instruments.
Slagwerk Den Haag loves to play music by remarkable 20th- and 21st-century composers. In En nu stil…, you’ll hear works by John Cage, Lou Harrison, Mátyás Wettl, and Kate Moore.
About Slagwerk Den Haag If you can imagine it, Slagwerk Den Haag can make music with it—and they’ve been doing so for over forty years! They don’t just perform concerts for children; they also share the stage with dance and theater groups and other adventurous creators in the Netherlands, New York, Egypt, and Japan.
